a work in progress as the gmf journey unfolds
I believe in "Divine Humor." By this, I honestly believe in a kind, complex yet humorous Design in terms of the universe and our personal stories. Basically, get ready for meaningful surprises, and enjoy a good laugh! Because though there is a purpose behind these, these would on make sense within freedom and through reflection.
And though we're all called to be authentic and original, may we let our intergenerational, local and collective narratives illustrate how key themes, longings and realizations echo within and beyond us. |
A SIMPLIFIED INTRO
Self-introductions, including virtual ones, are expected despite their limitations. But let's have a go at it, and stick with the basics.
I'm a seeker and collaborator. I wear mutliple hats especially during this time of hybrid collaboration. Mostly no complaints though - as long as I start and end the day in prayer, and at least have one very special day for personal and spiritual quiet (usually Sundays as I'm a Catholic Christian). I'm a Filipina feminist and human rights advocate, and so I often end up in contexts wherein I have to make a stand - though often in my own simple yet heartfelt ways. I also do what I can through emotional peer support - my simple way to just be present with others.
In terms of "profession," aside from being a full-time worker at a local human rights NGO, I'm also a freelance worker and partner for two social enterprises, one focused on environmental restoration, and the other in zero waste and circular economies. I long to grow within the realm of ecological justice, alternative dispute resolution and environmental peacebuilding.
